On the 15th February 2017, provisional air quality monitoring data from sites across much of Scotland
measured elevated concentrations of Particulate Matter (PM10 and PM2.5). As this is provisional monitoring data and was for a very short period of time it is important not to make any substantive claims given the data hasn’t been ratified i.e. checked and validated to make sure firstly the readings are correct and secondly to determine if this is due primarily to a trans-boundary source.
